Five things to know before picking up a trim tool — whether you're fitting one part or the full kit.
Confirm Pre-LCI or LCI
The G20 Pre-LCI (2019–2022) and LCI (2022+) have different bumper profiles. Parts are not interchangeable. Check your registration year before ordering.

Each video above covers a different scope. Watch the one that matches what you've ordered before picking up a tool. Knowing the clip locations in advance saves significant time.
Dry-fit before committing
Offer the part up and check alignment on both sides before pushing any clips home. An uneven splitter is almost always caused by rushing this step.
Work from centre outwards
Seat the centre clips first, then work towards each end simultaneously. Pushing one side fully home before the other causes the 2–3mm misalignment we see most often in the workshop.
Check from 5 metres before finishing
Small misalignments are invisible up close and obvious at distance. Step back before calling it done.
The most common issue we see on G20s brought in after a DIY attempt: front splitters with a 2–3mm gap on one side. It looks fine from directly in front of the car and becomes obvious the moment you see it in a photo.
If you're not confident, bring the car in. Same-day fitting where possible, backed by a lifetime warranty.

Can I fit the BMW G20 front splitter myself?
Yes, for confident DIY owners with trim tools. The main risk is uneven alignment if clips don't seat fully on both sides simultaneously. Watch the installation video above before starting. For a full kit, professional fitting is strongly recommended.
Does the G20 body kit fit the G21 Touring?
The front splitter, side extensions and mirror caps are generally compatible across G20 Saloon and G21 Touring. Rear diffuser fitment can differ — confirm with KITS UK before ordering if you drive a Touring.
What's the difference between Pre-LCI and LCI G20 parts?
The LCI facelift from 2022 updated both front and rear bumper profiles. Parts for the Pre-LCI (2019–2022) will not fit the LCI correctly. KITS UK stocks specific parts for both generations.
How long does professional fitting take?
Same-day fitting is available where possible. A full kit installation is typically completed within a single workshop day.
What warranty comes with professional fitting?
All installations completed by KITS UK include a lifetime fitting warranty — covering the fitment itself, separate from the product warranty on the parts.
